Cable Protection Methods for High-Traffic Areas

High-traffic areas — warehouse aisles, office corridors, job site pathways — are the most dangerous places for cables. Foot traffic damages cable insulation, cart wheels cut through outer jackets, and floor-level cables create tripping hazards that injure workers. Cable protection in high-traffic areas requires methods that keep cables functional and people safe. Here are the methods that work.

Method #1: Overhead Routing with Retractable Reels

The most effective cable protection method for high-traffic areas is removing cables from the traffic zone entirely.
